You can win the fight against temptation
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it
I Corinthians 10:13

About FICPMFree in Christ Prison Ministries is a non-denominational prison ministry that
involves volunteers, prayer partners and contributors from a number of congregations.
The ministry is directed by Jeff Rudd and operates as a missionary outreach
of Calvary Chapel. Jeff, Deb and their family have worshipped at Calvary Chapel
of Cary in Apex, NC for more than ten years.
Jeff has worked with men in prison since 1993. In July of 2001, the Lord called
him to disciple men in prison on a full-time basis. Since then, God has provided
the resources and directed the work that Jeff and the volunteers of Free In
Christ Prison Ministries do in two North Carolina prisons.
They disciple men in prison by teaching and applying His Word as the Holy Spirit
directs. The Lord has opened doors for Jeff and other volunteers to counsel,
teach Bible Studies, lead Beyond Addictions classes, operate Christian discipleship
radio stations (the CHRISTIAN EDUCATION NETWORK) and publish newsletters and
sermons for men in prison.
Since November of 2002, Luis Ramirez has conducted Spanish Bible Studies
for men at both prison units. Many of the men discipled by Mr. Ramirez are now
living in the cities and towns of Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala and other Latin
American countries.
What is our mission?
To disciple men in prison for Jesus Christ; to connect them so closely to the
Lord that they will continue to grow in their relationship with Him until they
go home to meet Him.
To instill in them the things that have been instilled in us according to
II Timothy 2:2, ‘Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is
in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses,
the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.’
To encourage men in their faith so that with us or apart from us they will
trust that all things truly do work together for good to those who love the
Lord and are called according to His purposes (Romans 8:28), and that by His
divine power, all things that pertain unto life and godliness have been given
to us through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (II
Peter 1:3).
We pray that through this discipleship, these men will be rooted and grounded
in their relationship with Jesus Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit and committed
to walking in faith in such a way that they lead others in a living relationship
with Jesus Christ. Our Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE that the "Apostles' Creed"
embodies all the fundamental doctrines of orthodox evangelical Christianity.
WE BELIEVE IN THE TRINITY, that there is one living and true
God, eternally existing in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds
all, and governs all.
WE BELIEVE IN GOD THE FATHER, an infinite, personal Spirit,
perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully
in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from
sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
WE BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, God's only begotten Son, conceived
by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles,
and teachings; His substitutionary atoning death; bodily resurrection; ascension
into heaven; perpetual intercession for His people; and personal, visible return
to earth. We believe that He is one and the same as God. He was fully human
and fully God.
WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, who came forth from the Father
and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and to regenerate,
sanctify, and empower in ministry all who believe in Christ. We believe the
Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding
Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking
believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, either at the time of or
subsequent to regeneration, which is a separate work from the indwelling Spirit
for salvation. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in
the exercise of all biblical gifts of the Spirit as reflected through the fruit
of that same Spirit.
WE BELIEVE that all THE SCRIPTURES of the
Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired and without error
in the original manuscripts, and that they are the infallible rule of faith
and practice.
WE BELIEVE all people are by nature separated from God and
responsible for their own SIN, but that SALVATION,
REDEMPTION, and FORGIVENESS are freely offered
to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and
accepts Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior, trusting Him to save,
that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all of
his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined
to spend eternity with the Lord.
