Prison can be a dark place. It is like living in a really cramped, really bad neighborhood. Very few men intended to find themselves living here. For most, it was the consequence of an ungodly lifestyle and bad decisions. When you are living apart from Christ, you are open to most anything. This true for all of us.

But men don’t have to live in darkness, not even in prison. Jesus told us John 12:46 that He is the light of the world and He says, “Whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” So men can learn to walk in the light, even in the darkness of a prison cell.
